Hola!

Hola! Te extraño mucho!
I am learning so much spanish...it's great! I can understand pretty much everything that is said to me, and I have gotten a lot better at speaking it as well! Our new teacher at school does a lot of talking with us. It helps a lot.

I am seriously having a blast here. The precious kids make this entire trip worth every second. There are a lot of discomforts here. Just being out of my comfort zone gets pretty tough sometimes. However, when i see the gorgeous smiles on the children's faces, it makes it all so much better.

We are having something like a VBS for the Barrio kids this week. It's been going great! The kids are a little crazy, but they're having so much fun. I love them all so very much.

We have kind of gotten into a routine now. It makes things a little bit easier, and we know what to expect. This weekend, we don't know where we're staying yet. Rough... I know. But we are going to the beach, and traveling with Generation of Light! I can't wait! They are some of my favorite Nicaraguans!

I don't want to leave...ever. There is so much need here. The precious Nicaraguans have definitely stolen my heart.

Okay, a quick story. We had the BEST taxi driver EVER yesterday. We got his name and number to use for the rest of the trip. He didn't speak english, and 6 people in a tiny car was difficult, but SO much fun. He knew that we were squished, so he would purposely stop his car abruptly so i would his my head on the ceiling. Also, he was very sarcastic. Hahaha it made my whole night. We're gonna use him for the rest of the trip for sure!

God is good, amen?! Please continue to pray for our team! Love you all :)

Don't Worry About A Thing :)

We are having such an amazing time here! Our second group has arrived safely. They lost one ministry bag, but other than that, everything is great!

Yesterday we went to Sandino City and hung out with Generation of Light (the drama team here). We learned two of their dramas which was a lot of fun! Then we went to an orphanage there and changed. Then we went to church! We were clapping and jumping and singing. It was so much fun :)

Today we went to school and we are resting up now...getting ready to go to the Barrio! We are having a VBS type of thing all this week.vfdvffbtujnhuyuh (that was david...) Anyway, We are going to play with the kids today :)! I am so excited.

Please keep praying! I love you all.

Today.

Today we went to Spanish School. It was reall good and we are all learning so much! We have an exam tomorrow on everything we have learned. I hope it isn't too hard!

Then we came back to our gorgeous house and everyone took a nap. Then we headed to the Barrio! There we started painting the school! All of the kids wanted to help, so it made things a little difficult. However, we got a lot done! I can't wait to see the finished product. :)

Highlights:
-A nice cold shower after a long day
-The pool that is pratically in our kitchen haha
-Getting to spoil my precious litlte girl, Tania
-Spending time with the people i love
-long naps after school
-serving the nicaraguan people

Safe and Sound!

I am sorry that I haven't updated this blog! We didn't have internet for 3 days.

We are all here safely! We lost one of our ministry bags... and it had all the food and most of our gifts in it. It was definitely a bummer, but I'm sure whoever took it is really happy!

We have been going to Spanish School every morning, and it's been great! We have all been learning a lot. We play lots of games, and go on excursions in the afternoons. We went to a pottery place on Tuesday. David actually made a pot with his bare hands. :) The people there were all Christians which was awesome! Then today we went to the zoo! It was actually really sad because the animals were all really skinny and sick looking. They had no room to play around. All they had was just a concrete box. These are the only excursions we're going on because we are spending the rest of our time at the Barrio.

We have visited the Barrio twice already. The kids there are SOOOOOO sweet! I love them all so much. We are going to be renovating their school. We are going to start painting soon! The owner of the school there is so grateful.

On Monday, I got to take my precious little girl back to our house here (which is REALLY nice). Her name is Tania. I got to spoil here with presents, swimming, lots of food, a shower, and painting nails! Her smile was so big the whole day. :)

I can't wait for all the rest of the things that God has planned for this trip! I've been having a blast! :)

ertyyu6trfgvb -That was david. hahaha

I MISS EVERYONE BACK HOME.
Hope - I love you :) you're amazing, and i miss you! can't wait to hang out with you when i get home!

That's all for right now - It's dinner time. :) I'll write more soon! love you all.

Packing!

I leave in 2 days!!!! I can't believe that the time has finally come. I have been counting down the days since the day I left last summer. Nicaragua has definitely stolen my heart and I cannot wait to be back to the place that I love so much. I cannot wait to serve alongside of some of my very best friends. I also cannot wait to see all the precious Nicaraguans whom I love dearly. God is going to do amazing things in and through me for these next 4 weeks.

Today I am packing all day. There is so much to remember! Pray that I remember everything that I need for the month that I am gone. Also pray that my bag isn't over 50 pounds! I'm a little bit of an over-packer....Okay, maybe a lot. ;)

Thank you for praying - Please continue to do so!

I am going to miss all my best friends here at home and all my wonderful friends at work. However, I know that Nicaragua is where God wants me right now... and I'll be home soon! I love you guys.

Leaving June 19th!

Hey Everyone,
I made this blog to keep you all updated on my Nicaragua 2010 trip. I am so excited to see all that God has planned for me and my team! I am honored to serve the King of Kings in Nicaragua this year! The people there desperately need the love of Christ in their lives!

We leave June 19th and come back July 17th. I will post updates on my trip on this blog as often as I can!

Thank you to all of you who have sent me money for my trip! Also, thank you to all of you who have been praying for me and my team!

PLEASE continue to pray for me and my team. God is going to do some amazing things through His people.

Please pray for:
-ALL funds to come in
-Health and Safety
-Selflessness
-Wisdom
-Peace that passes all understanding
-God to use us for HIS Kingdom

"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'" -Romans 10:14-15
